A floral tribute ceremony at the Gandhi bust, hosted by the Embassy of India, will be held on Friday, January 30 at 4:00 PM, in commemoration of Mahatma Gandhi’s death anniversary.

 

The bust of Mahatma Gandhi, located near the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, was presented to the City of Hiroshima by the Government of India during the G7 Hiroshima Summit in 2023. Since then, floral tributes have been offered at the bust—symbolizing peace and non-violence—on occasions such as Gandhi’s death anniversary, Hiroshima’s Atomic Bomb Memorial Day, and Gandhi’s birthday.
